Title: Public Meeting - Reuse and /or Disposition of Historic Buildings in the Medical Center of Louisiana at New Orleans Meeting Date: Wednesday, March 16 2011 Location: New Orleans City Hall, Council Chambers, 1300 Perdido Street #2 New Orleans, LA 70112 Time: 7:00PM - 9:00PM NEW ORLEANS - The State of Louisiana, Office of Facility Planning and Control (the State), seeks public input and comment in regards to adaptive reuse of the (9), historically significant buildings of the (23) buildings that made up the former MCLNO that were damaged by Hurricane Katrina. In accordance with the Programmatic Agreement, the State hereby provides notice compliance activities to solicit public input and comment. On March 16, 2011, the State will hold a public information meeting to present ideas and solicit public input and comment related to potential adaptive reuse options of the former Charity Hospital Building and the 8 other historically significant buildings. The purpose of this meeting is to engage the general public, local businesses, associations, affected governmental agencies and other interested parties to solicit relevant input and provide timely information regarding the adaptive reuse of these properties. The public meeting will begin with a presentation from the Office of Facility Planning and Control and its project team at 7:00PM, after which the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide written or oral comments related to the progress to date as well as suggest alternative options that are not presented. Public meetings are a critical element of the State's commitment to meeting their responsibilities under of the Programmatic Agreement. This meeting is being held in accordance with the requirements of Programmatic Agreement dated November 2008.
