PUBLIC NOTICE - - - SEWERAGE & WATER BOARD OF NEW ORLEANS ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CONTRACT 5243 DPS 4 Anti-Siphon Project New Orleans, Louisiana Sealed Bids for construction of Contract 5243 DPS 4 Anti-Siphon Project, addressed to Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, will be received at the office of the Purchasing Agent, Room 133, 625 St. Joseph Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70165, until 11:00 o'clock a.m., local time, on the 10th day of September, 2019. Any Bids received after the specified time will not be considered. Bids will then be publicly opened and read. The Project contemplated consists of the repair of the anti-siphon system (vacuum system) at Drainage Pumping Station 4. The repair includes replacing all valves, installing new pneumatic actuators, replacing the air compressor, replacing the header piping, and running all electrical required to operate from inside the Control Room. The Work will be completed in all respects within 120 calendar days from the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Bidding Documents and proposal forms are available gratis from Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans website: https://www2.swbno. org/business_ bidspecifications.asp Except for material suppliers, Bid Documents will be issued only to Contractors and/or Sub-contractors who are licensed by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors, under Louisiana Revised Statutes 37:2150 through 37:2163 as amended, and who have furnished satisfactory evidence to the Purchasing Agent of the Board that they are licensed and are qualified to perform the work called for in the Contract Documents. Bids will be accepted from only those Contractors who possess a Municipal and Public Works License, in accordance with the above referenced Louisiana Statutes. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders. Envelopes containing bids and bid guarantee must be sealed, marked with the project name and with the Contractor's name as it appears on the license and the Louisiana Contractor's License number. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids or proposals for just cause and to waive informalities. The Board also reserves the right to reject all proposals in the event that a formal agreement regarding funding from FEMA is not received prior to award of this Contract. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) and insurance prescribed in the Bidding Documents. In order to perform public work, Bidder and Subcontractors shall hold all necessary licenses as required by the above referenced Louisiana Statutes. This Project is classified as municipal and public works construction. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. local time on August 30th, 2019 at Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, Board Room 240, located at 625 St. Joseph St., New Orleans, Louisiana, 70165. This will be followed by a mandatory site-walkthrough at DPS 4 located at 5700 Warrington Drive. Refer to Instructions to Bidders for additional information.
