LEGAL NOTICE CDBG Commercial Fa ade Grant Project City of Athens, Tennessee Sealed bids for building facades at several businesses within the City of Athens through the CDBG Commercial Facade Grant Program will be received by the City of Athens at the Athens Municipal Building (815 North Jackson Street, Athens, TN 37303) until 2:00 PM E.S.T., December 21, 2018, and then at said location publicly opened and read aloud. Bid Package (1) 201 N White Street Bid Package (2) 2 N White Street Information including project specs, project location, and grant program requirements may be obtained at the following: Athens Municipal Building 815 North Jackson Street Athens, TN 37303 Copies may be obtained at Athens Municipal Building Purchasing Department (address above), at www.cityofathenstn.com or by calling (423) 462-1036. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 2:00PM E.S.T., December 14, 2018 at Athens Municipal Building (address above). Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is MANDATORY for all bidding parties. The City of Athens reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. All bidders must be licensed general contractors as required by the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1994 of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee and qualified for the type of construction being bid upon. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109, and E.O. 11246.
